Your relationship is one of the things that is on the forefront of your mind. At one point, you two were deeply in love. You wanted to be together all the time. Now, things have happened. Life has gotten in the way. You argue more, and are disconnected. You struggle with communication, and ultimately just aren’t on the same page. You want to work on things, but you know you need a couples counselor to help.
Stress and anxiety have been getting in the way of you being able to do all of the things you want to do at work and with friends. You’ve noticed that anxiety comes on without warning, and you’ve started fearing that you’ll have an anxiety attack at any moment. You know you want to conquer this, but you’re just not sure what steps to take.
Feeling this way has really take it’s toll. You are trying to stay happy. There are plenty of things in your life that are going well. Yet you still feel this cloud that comes over you and you’re left worrying about whether you’ll be able to come out of it. You know there are probably some tools to help, but you could use a counselor’s feedback.
What you went through was so rough. You’re not quite sure how you’ve made it through, and honestly you’re not really sure if there is any way you can possibly heal from this. Your past creeps into your present by causing you to live in fear, judgment, and anxiety. You can’t really function well in relationships, because the past is still there. Causing you to feel tough feelings that get in the way of you really being able to be genuinely you.
Your loved ones are starting to express concerns that you drink too much. It hasn’t gotten out of control, but you know that you’ve made a couple of mistakes that they’re not okay with. You know that you tend to overindulge, and you’re willing to take a look at this. You’re ready to consider whether your use is really an issue.
Communicating in this family is just too much. You can’t have a productive conversation because someone shuts down, someone yells, and someone else gets passive-aggressive. While there is a lot of love between all of you, you just can’t figure out how to have loving and healthy conflict and communication.
